Splendid Jeni

Yesterday was just one of those days. I ended up stuck in the black hole that is Pinterest for far too long and the creative juices were just not flowing. The perfect distraction for my lack of inspiration was a late night treat so Nick, Bromley and I went for a nice little stroll down the street to one of my most favorite places in Columbus, Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream. Now all of you ice cream lovers out there, this is not your typical ice cream shop next door; quite far from it actually. Your standard chocolate, vanilla and strawberry have no business here and are replaced by ridiculous flavor combinations like Queen City Cayenne (chocolate ice cream infused with hot pepper), Goat Cheese with sweet berries, Poached Pear Riesling sorbet and my two personal favorites Salty Caramel and Backyard Mint. You can taste as many flavors are your heart desires and when you finally decide on one (or two, or three) it is seriously the best little party in your mouth. A perfect cure for a case of the Tuesday's.

  1. I love that you describe Pinterest as a black hole. It takes up way too much of my time, but I keep going back for more! Next time I'm in Columbus I'll have to stop by this little place!
