Aaaaaaand hello winter weather. I knew these lovely 60 degree temperatures we have been enjoying in New York were just a little too good to last right on into December. I guess it is fitting that the temperatures start dropping just as all of the Christmas decorations are going up! I love the warm and cozy feeling of chunky knits! From hats hats and boyfriend sweaters and even for the home from rugs to bedding. Makes me want to snuggle right up with a giant cup of hot chocolate and the new hunger games book that I have been waiting to start. Happy 25 days 'til Christmas!!!

Singing the Praises of All Saints
I first discovered All Saints when I was living in London my junior year of college and the brand has recently been making its way into the fashion scene here on this side of the pond. The architecture of the beautifully designed stores is absolutely amazing! Walking into an All Saints feels like you have walked into a totally awesome Brooklyn loft that also doubles as a saloon in the wild wild west. An open airy space with lots of wood and metal, a wall of vintage singer machines, giant wooden doors and just all around gorgeous fixtures, it really is so well done. I am almost more intrigued by the store design than the clothes!
But not completely...I'm still a sucker for great fashion design. The style of design is extremely conceptual and their designers sure do know their way around a dress form since every piece is so intricately draped and structured. Rooted in music and art, the brand has sharp tailoring, the softest knits and beautifully washed leathers.Their style is definitely not for everyone, but their dresses and shoes have definitely got my attention! My Vala pumps are probably my favorite pair of shoes in my closet, and these pieces would be a nice addition.
This collection of Aztec inspired embellished dresses and skirts is amazing! The beads, the sequins, the colors and patterns! Ahhh that dress, I die!

It's Friday...let's get fancy
Weather.com let me in on a little secret. It is going to be 75 and sunny here all weekend!!! I am so excited I could just run around outside waving my arms and screaming with joy! Okay so I probably won't do that, but I am going to spend as much time outside as possible soaking up lots of vitamin D. Tonight I am going to an outdoor concert and will be spending time tomorrow on some fabulous DIY projects that I can't wait to share with you next week! The amazing weather calls for an even more amazing outfit and here is my take on getting fancy this Friday. I absolutely love the color scheme of this room and thought it would translate perfectly into an outfit from head to toe. Loving all of these pieces of course! Have a happy weekend!

The Mad Hatter
Aside from Pippa and obviously the gorgeous new Duchess of Cambridge, the real stars of last Friday's wedding extravaganza were all of the amazing hats. I absolutely love this tradition! Philip Treacy, brilliant Irish milliner, was the desginer behind 36 of the hats worn to the Royal Wedding. While some of the headpieces were quite over the top ridiculous (ahem, Beatrice) it was so refreshing to see such expressive fashions instead the go to LBD's at most American weddings I've been to. Those Royals really know how to dress for a party!
Treacy is no stranger to over the top, designing collections for every major designer from Valentino to Chanel to Alexander McQueen. I especially lovee these looks from his own 2003 Couture show paying homage to the work of Andy Warhol.
1950's inspired elegance in black and white in 2001.
No stranger to the red carpet, Treacy is also a favorite designer of the ever so stylish SJP and many of Carrie Bradshw's favorite toppers.

Honestly, WTF
I was feeling a little crafty this weekend so I turned to one of my favorite blogs Honestly, WTF for some inspiration. Along with great editorials and fashion photography, the ladies behind this site post some fantastic DIY tutorials for supercute accessories. These are the kind of DIY's that you can whip up in an hour...you don't need to dedicate an entire Saturday to these projects (aka the tufted headboard I have been dreaming of making shown here). They posted a while ago about this grown-up friendship bracelet inspired by Aurelie Bidermann's Do Brazil bracelets which I tried out last night with much success.

I found these curb link chain bracelets on eBay for about $10. The embroidery thread and mini chain can be found at any craft store. Head on over here for the step by step instructions!
