Packing for the Big Apple

Whoa I have been packing like a mad woman that past few days! It is pretty tough trying to cram everything from our 2 bedroom house into boxes that will need to fit into a MUCH smaller space in New York. Now I wouldn't consider myself an official A&E style hoarder, however somehow I end up with so much stuff that I don't even know where half of it came from or why I have moved it around from place to place! I am trying to purge as much as possible and it feels great to get rid of so much stuff. Anyway, my bf is not going to be very happy once he finds out I took a packing break to blog so back to work I go! Wishing I had some of these pretty vintage suitcases to pack my treasures in, but I guess cardboard boxes and crush paper will have to do for now.

Happy Weekend!!!

I am setting off on quite an adventure this weekend! First a quick stop in Boston (which I feel like has become my second home over the past few months) to celebrate my friend Caroline's bridal shower and hit the town with the bridal party Saturday night. (Any good Boston recommendations)? Then Sunday I am off to China and Taiwan for a business trip for two weeks!

Aside from the amazing food and shopping that awaits on the other side of the world, what I am really looking forward to is the 15 hour flight to Beijing Sunday morning. No that is not a joke, I seriously cannot wait. I  have flown to Asia quite a bit over the past few years for my job and I absolutely LOVE it. A perk of traveling for work is flying business class which = unlimited champagne, a personal tv and a seat that flattens out into a bed. Pretty much 15 hours where I have no choice but to veg out in front of the tv 6 inch movie screen watching movie after movie, indulging in a giant stack of magazines, napping and getting my fill of a free open bar. 

Since I will be getting my work on in Asia over the next two weeks, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to introduce you to some of my favorite bloggers. These ladies have created some seriously awesome guest posts and I cannot wait to share them with you!

I am jetting off to the east cost today for a fabulous long weekend!
First up Hartford, CT for my bestie Caroline's wedding party luncheon and some quality girl time. Then onto Boston with the bf's fam for some Red Sox'ing (even though I come from a family of die hard Yankee fans), marathon watching/cheering, and of course lots and lots of delicious eating!

Hey London, I Miss You!

Since I am super jelly of my bf jetting around London and Paris this week, I took a little trip down memory lane last night with my photos from my junior year of college when I studied in London. It was truly one of the most amazing times of my life! From classes at London's finest museums, the Bakerloo line and Walker's crisps to Top Shop, Selfridges and the Portabello Road market, my friends and I shopped, ate, toured, danced and tubed our way all over this fantastic city (and beyond)!

The best part of studying in London was jetting off to a different European city almost every other weekend! (Thank you Ryan Air). Next to London, Paris was our second home and became one of my favorite places. (Probably because I indulged in 2-3 nutella crepes daily...oops!) The cheese, the wine, the uber-fashionable Parisian ladies and the incredible museums! Ahhh! I can't! Take me back there right now!
