Summer {Fancy} Friday

It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday. (I have that terrible Rebecca Black song in my head after watching {this} hilarious spoof by Stephen Colbert and The Roots). Ahhhmazing! 

Anyway....it has been quite a scorcher this week and it has me seriously craving some beach time! Unfortunately I will have to wait two weeks before getting to the beach, but in the mean time I will at least be looking beachy while enjoying relaxing summer weekend here in Columbus. AV's {link up} this week is a little white dress theme, however I went a bit more casual with some little white shorts for my {not so} fancy Friday outfit inspiration. I am pretty excited for my little bro to visit this weekend and we will be spending lots of time outside - grilling, eating bbq at the Jazz & Ribs fest and hanging in the park - and then escaping back to the house for some ac. (Not so) Fancy Friday: Warrior Dash!

Happy Weekend! So this is definitely a stretch since this event is taking place on Saturday and based on the crawling through the mud and jumping over junkyard cars I will be doing, it is a far cry from fancy, but let's just go with it. 

Tomorrow I am participating in the Warrior Dash! If you haven't heard of this event, it is a "mud crawling, fire-leaping, extreme run from hell!" Aka 5k run chock full of warrior obstacles like jumping over logs in the water, crawling through mud, repelling down a ravine and other kinds of crazy!

 Part of the fun of this event is dressing up in costumes and letting your warrior spirit shine through! (I will have to dig deep for that one). But the costume part, no sweat. After a little crafting party last night with Ashley, tomorrow I will be decked out in a neon tutu, a glitter covered "warrior" headband and glitter just about everywhere else. At the finish line each participant gets a Viking helmet - required for entry into the all day party to follow...we are going to look pretty ridiculous amazing.

It's Friday...let's get fancy

Weather.com let me in on a little secret. It is going to be 75 and sunny here all weekend!!! I am so excited I could just run around outside waving my arms and screaming with joy! Okay so I probably won't do that, but I am going to spend as much time outside as possible soaking up lots of vitamin D. Tonight I am going to an outdoor concert and will be spending time tomorrow on some fabulous DIY projects that I can't wait to share with you next week! The amazing weather calls for an even more amazing outfit and here is my take on getting fancy this Friday. I absolutely love the color scheme of this room and thought it would translate perfectly into an outfit from head to toe. Loving all of these pieces of course! Have a happy weekend!

Friday's Fancies

Hello Friday, I am sooooooo happy you are here! I am pretty excited to get this weekend started, it has been quite a long week. Since my bf will be jet setting off to London for work this weekend (jealous!) I have quite a rager planned with my ladies Saturday night. And if I had an unlimited shopping budget for the weekend, here is the fabulous outfit I would be going out in! Pretty much my go to of skinny jeans a blazer and heels thought I would spice it up a bit with some red hot jeans and some turq jewels.
