Happy Weekend!

Happy Friday friends! Wowza, I cannot believe it is the first weekend of December. That is crazytown. I am very excited to bust out my sequins and a sparkles for my first holiday party of the season tomorrow night! As for the rest of this weekend, I plan to do lots of things Christmas - shopping, partying and decorating. Oh and there is that little thing called studying for finals that I need to get around to at some point...we'll see about that one.
Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Weekend, Happy Day!

It's Friday and besides that and the long weekend ahead, these are some things making me happy today.

Sunshine!
It is supposed to be a b-e-a-utiful day here in Columbus, and Mother Nature, for that, I thank you. Since sunshine has been so rare these past few months I have really come to appreciate it when it is here.

Flowers!
Since I am seriously lacking any kind of green thumb, I am grateful that my neighbors are not, so I can enjoy their beautiful flowers and be happy spring has sprung!

Lobstaaaa!
I'm heading to Boston this weekend and cannot wait for a giant, delicious, juicy New England lobster roll from the Barking Crab. One of my favorite summer treats!

Glitter nails!
Because why not add a little sparkle to the weekend?
Hope you have a great Memorial Day weekend!!!

Hello weekend, I am so happy you have arrived! I feel like this week has been waaaaay too long, probably because it is the first five day work week I have had in a while. (I really need to figure out how to make 3-day weekends and vacations a more regular occurance).

So many fun things going on this weekend! I plan to continue my new-found obsession with "fascinators" while watching the Derby tomorrow. These ladies better bring their A-game after all of those Royal wedding show-stoppers we saw last week! I will also be cheering like mad woman for my bf and friends who are running the Columbus half marathon and keeping my fringers crossed that the sun will show his face at least once in the next two days!

Have a great weekend!

I'm off to...

Supercool vintage wooden sign found on Etsy.

I am jetting off to the east cost today for a fabulous long weekend!
First up Hartford, CT for my bestie Caroline's wedding party luncheon and some quality girl time. Then onto Boston with the bf's fam for some Red Sox'ing (even though I come from a family of die hard Yankee fans), marathon watching/cheering, and of course lots and lots of delicious eating!

Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to check back next Monday & Tuesday for some great guest posts while I'm gone!

You can find me over at a {little} dash of ash today doing my first guest post! Come check out my picks for Ashley's Fab Five Friday series!

I have recently discovered the Weekly Gratitude series featured on some blogs I frequent and decided to join in and share what I am thankful for this week!
  • Thank you to all of you reading this right now (yes you!) for checking out my blog. Your comments make me happy!
  • Thank you to my friends who helped me move last weekend, because I could not have lifted my mattress and box spring onto the roof and through the 2nd floor window without you and your muscles.
  • Thank you to The Arnold Classic Fitness Expo for being in town last weekend and providing the most awesome people watching ever.
  • Thank you to my desk neighbors Natalie and Hannah, for listening to Ashley and me talk about blogs all the live long day and pretending to be interested.
  • Thank you to my Hunter boots for allowing me to stomp through puddles like a little kid during the past week of non-stop rain to make the miserable walk into work that much more enjoyable.
  • Thank you to Charlie Sheen for infiltrating the entire media world with your crazy-pants antics and making us all feel just that much more normal.
  • Thank you to my fun-loving parents who just celebrated their 57th birthdays by rocking out 2nd row at the Bon Jovi concert...I hope I am as cool as you are when I grow up.
  • Thank you to the weekend...I looooove you I loooove you I loooove you! And I am so happy you are here!
  • Thank you to daylight savings time, because sunshine is awesome and my pale white self is in some serious need of vitamin D!
